The commemoration is tomorrow, Saturday, June 6th.
Hello!
The #HydePArkBIA kindly sent out an email to remind businesses about tomorrow’s special event, so I am reminding you all. There is going to be a major impact on traffic for June 6th.
Starting at 9 am, the southbound curb lane on Hyde Park will be closed, along with the South Carriage entrance onto Hyde Park. This also means that the right turn from Gainsborough will also likely be closed.
Starting at 6:45, Hyde Park will be totally shut down from Gainsborough to Sarnia. At 7:30, rolling temporary closures will continue south along Hyde Park to Oxford to Oakridge high school. “Roads will reopen in phases as participants move through the area. The event will conclude around 9:15pm.
This does mark five years since the Afzaal family was rundown in our community. Here at Spoke & Sprocket our hearts go out to the young man who must grieve this horrific loss. We love our community and we cannot believe that someone could be so…Well, we hope that our community continues to grow better & better.
There is more information here. And see what good the National Council of Canadian Muslims has been up to here, including their work on the Our London Family Act.
Have a great weekend and watch the traffic.
Oh, I am working on two blogs. One about the laws, trials and practical knowledge for 2- and 3-wheeled e-vehicles.
And the other is just for fun: The Covid Effect on the Cycling Industry.
See ya!
