A Chili Cook Off!

First of all, I want to say thank you to everyone who has asked how I am doing. I am doing very well. My new hip is coming along nicely. My PT is happy with me and I am moving a lot better.

Now, for the chili battle. (I was going to call it a cookoff but, they're right, battle is much more fun.)

As you can see from the poster, it is being held October 1st, 1:30 to 4:00. It will be at the London Brewing Co-op, 521 Burbrook Place, London.

There will be a silent auction, music, BBQ, and a 50/50 draw. You get to taste the chilis and vote for your favourite.

Tickets are $15 each and the money will be going to two great causes: Ovarian Cancer Research and the Princess Margaret Cancer Center.

The organizer, Diana Taylor, is a two-time cancer survivor. She takes part in the London Run for Ovarian Cancer and is devoted to doing everything she can to help fund research for a cure. You can RSVP at their website.

We will be there! We hope to see you there, too!

If that doesn't encourage you to go, I don't know what will. ;)

Finally:

We know that we are behind and we apologize. This year has been chaotic and, at times, difficult. (Although, truly, the difficult is redeemed by all the good things that have happened.) Right now, Mike is the only mechanic at the shop (Jude is on vacation), I can only be there for a few hours at a time, and I'm on movement restrictions, so I'm not much help. He is doing his best to catch up.

We really would appreciate you picking up your bike when you get the call. This allows us to have room for the next customer.

See you in the shop and at the chili battle!
